Bulldog Men’s Eye Roll on Review | Bulldog
First off: I’m not a man. I know, what a surprise. However, I absolutely love Bulldog’s skincare products. They’re affordable, accessible, smell great and feel wonderful.
What’s not to like?
Recently I tried out the Bulldog men’s eye roll on in their Energising line – was it worth it? Check out my review below!
What is the eye roll on by Bulldog?
Bulldog sells various different product lines, each with their own speciality. For this review, I’m focusing on their Energising Eye Roll On.
This eye roll on comes in a small tube. When you take the cap off, it uses a small metal ball on the end of the tube to roll on the product onto your face. You use this product on the skin around the eye (applying it directly with the tube) then you massage the product deeper into the skin. It’ll eventually absorb fully into the skin (and does this pretty quickly, too!)
There’s loads of eye roll ons in the world, but Bulldog’s energising one uses rice, algae and maize specifically.
There’s two reasons main for Bulldog’s energising eye roll on, some benefits for right away and some after long-term use:
- It can reduce dark circles and puffiness under the eye after 28 days
- Uses “light reflecting mica” to help the skin look brightened immediately and leaves the skin feeling cool and energised with each use
If you know me at all, you’ll know the two problems of my entire existence: Asian Flush (which I use Sunset Alcohol Flush Support for) and dark under eye bags (which I use literally everything for). I’m always on the lookout for a new eye cream, serum, concealer or roll on, so why not give Bulldog a try? Their Oil Control Face Mask is one of my all-time favourites, so I’m more than happy to give them a shot with a different product.
However for me personally, I don’t need to reduce puffiness, but I do have crazy dark circles.
What’s Bulldog men’s eye roll on like?
First, this eye roll on tube is very small. Very, very small. I can’t imagine that it will last forever.
However, it does have a really faint but pleasant smell. Thankfully the smell is not overwhelming when you apply it, and it quickly disappears so you don’t even know it’s there.
I really like that this eye roll on uses a metal ball to apply the product. This really helps make the skin feel cold and “energised” right away. The metal ball would also be great on puffy under eyes, but unfortunately that’s one of the problems I don’t have (oh well)!
I also love the packaging – Bulldog knows how to do minimalistic packaging and branding really well. All of the Bulldog product lines also have their own colour scheme, so it’s really easy to tell them apart. The energising product line uses yellow and orange to differentiate from the other products.
This particular eye roll on is part of Bulldog’s “Energising” range of products. They also have a face wash, moisturiser, face scrub and sheet mask all in the energising product line.
The energising products primarily use rice, aglae and maize, while the other product lines each focus on three main ingredients.
If you have different skin care concerns, you could try out one of Bulldog’s other lines:
- Sensitive – Uses baobab oil, oat oil and willow herb
- Oil Control – Uses witch hazel, willow bark, juniper
- Mature – Uses rosemary, Echinacea and Vitamin E
- Original – Uses aloe, camelina and green tea
- Protective – Uses aloe, green tea and bergamot
Another popular eye roll on product is Bulldog’s Age Defence Eye Roll-On in their “Mature” product line. This one works on reducing the appearance of fine lines, dark circles and puffiness and tries to hydrate the skin around to make it look brighter and nourished.
Thankfully, fine lines and wrinkles aren’t my main problem, just yet. But reducing the dark circles under my eyes are.
I personally love the face mask in the Oil Control product line, but I could also get a face wash, scrub or moisturiser that focuses on oil control, too. Once you find a line that you like, it’s really easy to stock up on other products! Plus I like that Bulldog tries to focus on natural ingredients (although, of course there’s other stuff in the product, too).
What’s in it?
Bulldog Men’s Eye Roll On ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium polyacrylate, Mica, Polyglyceryl-3 cocoate, Polyglyceryl-4 caprate, Polyglyceryl-6 caprylate, Polyglyceryl-6 ricinoleate, Titanium dioxide, Sorbitol, Xanthan gum, Benzoic acid, Glycogen (Maize), Dehydroacetic acid, Phytic acid (Rice), Asparagopsis armata (Red algae) extract, Ascophyllum nodosum (Brown algae) extract, Citric acid, Potassium sorbate, Sodium hydroxide.
What’s it feel like?
Like I mentioned before, the metal ball applicator feels great on the skin, especially in the morning when you’re waking up and getting ready for work. It doesn’t apply too much product, which you then massage in with your fingers. There’s nothing worse than an eye cream or serum that spits out way too much product onto your face that you just end up wasting.
The cream itself feels great, applies easily and sinks into the skin quickly. It does have a faint smell but nothing too drastic. What I love about this eye cream is that it doesn’t sting. I’ve tried so many under eye creams and serums that all come with a harsh and chemical-like sting.
But Bulldog’s doesn’t.
After massaging the product into my eye area, I quickly forget it’s even there! The smell disappears and my skin is left feeling happy and hydrated. I don’t even notice that I’ve applied anything there specifically.
It does somewhat brighten that area right away, but nothing drastic. I can still tell that I have dark circles and need to apply concealer to fully hide them. But the area does look a bit brighter than usual. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
Final verdict on Bulldog Men’s Eye Roll On?
The main question is: does the eye roll on really reduce puffiness and dark circles? My answer: I’m not sure! I’ll need to keep using the eye roll on every day for at least a month before seeing any (possible) results.
I can definitely see how this roll on will help with puffiness when using the cold metal ball to apply the product, but that’s not an issue I deal with. I love Bulldog products, including this energising eye roll on, so I’ll definitely keep using it.
Otherwise, I love the application, the smell and the feel of the eye cream. It’s easy to apply, feels great and doesn’t dry out the skin. My under-eyes are left feeling hydrated and cool, which always helps. The formula doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy or oily, either, which is a huge bonus.
Only time will tell if this roll on actually reduces the appearance of dark circles or not.

Mens and women’s products are virtually the same 🙂 One of my all-time favourite face masks is the Men’s Bulldog Clay mask!
