Post Glycolic Fix Moisturiser Review | Nip And Fab
You can never have too many moisturisers! This week I wanted to review the Nip and Fab Post Glycolic Fix Moisturiser – quite a long name! I love the Nip + Fab night face pads, so I wanted to see if their SPF30 moisturiser was just as good. Is this product worth adding into your collection? Check out my review below!
What is Post Glycolic Moisturiser?
One of Nip + Fab’s big product lines includes Glycolic acid, which can work absolute wonders on your skin. However, it’s important to re-hydrate your skin afterwards to get the best effects.
This particular moisturiser is oil-free with SPF 30, two main components people look for in a moisturiser. I know I do! It’s lightweight and helps control excess oil build-up on your face.
The idea is that if you use their popular Glycolic range in the morning, including the much-loved Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads, you would then use this moisturiser afterwards.
But what is Glycolic acid?
This particular ingredient, glycolic acid, is a naturally occurring substance that is super popular in skincare products right now.
One of the biggest benefits is that it works wonders for exfoliation by removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells. This helps reveal a brighter and even skin tone and can often be seen even after just one use.
Some research has shown that Glycolic acid is really helpful for collagen production. We know that collagen is vital in helping the skin stay firm and minimize wrinkles. That’s why this ingredient is great for any anti-aging products!
Because Glycolic acid can be tough, it’s important to find a percentage that doesn’t anger your skin and always do a patch test before using. People with extremely sensitive skin may find this ingredient a bit too much.
What’s it like?
This moisturiser is designed to be applied to the face and neck area each morning after using Glycolic products (ideally from Nip + Fab!). However, you can realistically use this moisturiser however you want. Again, it’s best after Glycolic products and for use in the morning since the SPF 30 helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Overall the moisturiser feels great! It’s light and oil-free, which is exactly what my face needs.
The main key benefits are:
- Silica microspheres helps to create a smooth and matte effect on the skin
- Witch hazel soothes and calms the skin. This ingredient is really popular lately and can be found in my favourite Bulldog Oil Control Face Mask!
- Niacinamide is included to help to reduce visible pores
- Finally, SPF 30 will protect the skin against harmful UV rays
The only downside is that the moisturiser can feel a bit creamy because it also works as a sunscreen. It’s not thick enough for this to be a problem, but it’s not the lightest moisturiser in the world, either.
This moisturiser has a beautiful scent, too, like many other Nip + Fab products. It’s sort of tropical smelling, like pineapple! However, this won’t suit users who want a fragrance-free product. The smell is quite obvious and stays around for awhile.
What’s in it?

What’s it feel like?
It does exactly what it says it will: hydrate your skin! My face always feels much more happy and hydrated after using this moisturiser each morning. It’s a simple lightweight, oil free moisturiser and that’s all I really need! Plus the added bonus of SPF 30 protect me in the sun once I’m out of the house in the morning.
The texture isn’t greasy feeling, but it absorbs into the skin really quickly. Although like I said, it’s a big thicker because it also works as a sunscreen. Not too thick, though!
It’s really important to me that I find products that ultimately help my skin (obviously) and make sure my complexion stays clear and even.
I feel that looking after my face is a huge concern of mine and often a source of anxiety. Because I suffer from Asian Flush (which I like to use Sunset Alcohol Flush Support for) making sure my skin is clear is vital.
One of the main symptoms of this condition is my face turning bright red after drinking alcohol. If it does this, my acne is super exaggerated – it’s like it’s 100% more visible. That’s why I’m so picky about making sure my skin is clear, happy and hydrated! On the off chance that I don’t take Sunset before drinking alcohol and my face turns red, I want to be confident that it’s not going to look like it’s covered in acne.
Final verdict on Nip + Fab Post Glycolic Fix Moisturiser
What’s my final verdict on this moisturiser? I love it! It’s the perfect fix to bring comfort and protection to my skin, without any breakouts. Not to mention wonderful hydration!
The first time I used Nip + Fab’s night time pads, I genuinely saw a different the following day. My skin looks brighter right away! I’m just as impressed with this moisturiser. My skin looks great without excess oil build-up and looks overall more clear and even.
The only main downsides to this product is that the smell is quite strong (although it smells like!) and the product is fairly thick.
All in all, I would buy this again!
