Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips Review | Biore
Who doesn’t love a good pore strip? One of my favourite (and cheap) skincare products are nose strips. They’re basically sold everywhere, are super easy to use and are wildly fun. But what about the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips? Are these any good? Check out my review below!
What are Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips?
These strips are white rectangles that you apply to your nose. Once they’ve dried and hardened, you peel them off and (hopefully) pull out a bunch of garbage from your pores.
Even as a teenager, I always loved using nose pore strips and have certainly tried my fair share! These Biore Deep Cleansing Pore strips are one of the most popular. I actually love their charcol version, but these are fantastic, too! And to be honest, I don’t see the biggest difference between this version and their charcoal nose strips.
You can usually get away with using these strips maybe twice a week. I wouldn’t use them more than that, for fear of irritating your skin. Especially since you use them on the same spot over and over again, you don’t want to use them too frequently. Personally, I like to use a nose strip maybe once a week.
What are these nose strips like?
Compared to other brands and types of nose pore strips I’ve tried in the past, these are always one of the best. They can give you one of the deepest clean you’ll ever feel with a simple strip, working to clear clogged pores.
It’s important to wash your face first and remove any makeup or skincare products on your nose. You’ll then apply the strip to your wet nose and leave it to dry. About 10-15 minutes later promptly after it becomes stiff, it’s showtime! Gently and slowly remove the strip and see all the gross stuff that’s just come out of your nose.
It’s important not to leave the strip on too long after it’s dried, as it could irritate your skin.
However, peeling the strip off is the best part. Start from one size and slowly peel it off of your nose. What’s super fun about these types of strips is seeing all the dirt and grime that it’s pulled out of your pores. You can certainly tell that it’s working!
They also help prevent blackheads by getting this dirt out of your face. Hallelujah!
Make sure not to leave the strip on for too long. It may be tempting to leave it on your nose longer than the recommended time (because it will work that much better, right?). But it could actually really irritate your nose when you pull it off.
What’s in it?
Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ingredients include: Polyquaternium-37, Silica, Water, Glycerin, Polysilicone-13, Peg-12 Dimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Menthol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract.
What’s interesting is that these strips use Witch Hazel (like my favourite Bulldog Clay Mask) and Tea Tree oil (like my new Faith in Nature shampoo)! They also smell nice, which is a pleasant surprise!
What do Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips feel like?
Because these strips can be tough on your nose, it’s important to avoid using on acne blemishes or swollen, sunburned, excessively dry skin, or skin prone to spider veins. Basically, you’ll want to avoid using on skin that is sensitive, becomes irritated from peel off face masks or already has some issue.
My skin is typically combination and somewhat sensitive. However, my nose is still OK when using these strips.
Once the strip has been left on for the recommended time (usually 10-15 minutes) I then gently peel it off. It’s not painful to remove, but it definitely pulls on your skin so be careful! Once it’s off, my skin feels clear and insanely clean. It genuinely feels like dirt and grime has been cleared out of my pores. However, if you wait too long to peel these strips off, your nose might be red, hot and irritated, especially if you have sensitive skin.
After you peel the nose strip off, you might still have some residue left on your nose. This is pretty common, although it’s obviously annoying. Simply wash any leftover residue off with warm water and you’re good to go.
Then, I like to use a moisturiser (right now it’s my Rich Moist Soothing cream) to make sure my nose doesn’t completely dry out. You’ll want something hydrating but not too oily.
Final Verdict on Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
At the end of the day: I love these nose strips. They’re easy to use, affordable, accessible and lots of fun. I love seeing that these strips actually pull dirt from my pores so there’s no doubt that it’s working properly. I would love to get Biore strips that could be used on other parts of my face, such as around my oily T-Zone. Unfortunately, these deep cleansing strips are only applicable for your nose.
If you enjoy these strips, I would also recommend Biore’s charcoal nose strips – another fun product for your skin!
These strips are a great addition to any “Me Day” skin care routine and you won’t be disappointed. Just apply, sit back and enjoy a clear nose! Clear your pores!
